AltRider has put together the “Taste of Dakar Weekend” coming up on February 24-26. For only $225.00 you get five catered meals (dinner Fri, all meals Sat, breakfast Sun), adult beverages, two days of epic routes (Sat and Sun), camping fees, a riding clinic led by Jimmy Lewis and entertainment provided by AltRider.
This is an awesome opportunity for riders of any skill level to learn riding techniques from Jimmy Lewis, explore some of the most amazing terrain in North America and hang out and have fun with riders from all over the country.
The campground is located in Shoshone, CA and is close to Death Valley National Park. It has a natural warm spring pool to relax in after a day of riding and at night sitting around the campfire, you won’t be able to count all the stars you’ll see in the clear desert sky.
About 10 miles down the road are the Tecopa Hot Spring mineral baths and a few miles past the hot springs is the China Ranch Date Farm. You have to try their delicious date nut bread. This is going to be an incredible weekend that you don’t want to miss.
