Nov.9th 2008 - Silverman 2008
It is that time again! Don't miss your chance to be a part of the action during the 4th Annual Nevada Silverman Triathlon on Sunday, November 9, 2008! Goto www.silvermannv.com for more information.
Once again we need at least 12 persons on bikes, 8 of which must be able to carry a passenger. We will carry judges and/or media personnel. I will again solicit the use of helmets from BMW Motorcycles of Las Vegas so we won't be asking the passengers to wear an improper fitting helmet that may not protect them in case of an accident.
I will continue to be in contact with the Race Director (Frank Lowery) to relay our requests for our passengers to come prepared. Every year we have asked that officials and media provide their own protective clothing such as, sturdy shoes with ankle protection, full length pants, jackets, and eye protection. It has been a challenge….and becomes more difficult to require of our passengers when we don't show up with proper riding gear so please come with all of your own equipment.
Don't forget, we get the goody bags, t-shirts, and free food the day of the event. And the volunteer appreciation banquet held the following weekend is catered by Outback and is served buffet style (a.k.a. EMO style!).
If you know anyone else that is willing and capable of participating please have them contact me directly in the evenings (702) 271-1720 or by e-mail mamer.michael@Gmail.com
Thanks You.
Mike Mamer
Nov. 16th 2008 - EMO Board Elections
Don't forget elections are coming up, so think about whom you would like to be your new president, Vp, board members. Steve Hall and Jeff Critelli have served two years now as President and Sec./Treasure and would like a rest. As they say I think we need change!

The primary reason one should belong to the European Motorcycle Owners is because you enjoy the company of others who share an interest in European Motorcycles. The club has regular gatherings and special events that may provide you an escape from your hectic life.
- Every Sunday from 7:30am to 9:30am or so, the Club meets for breakfast at Henry’s American Grill (237 N. Stephanie Drive in Henderson, Nevada 898-5100). Tire kicking and impromptu rides follow.
- On the third Thursday of the month at 6:00 - 6:30 pm EMO members gather at a restaurant for a “Night Out at a Dive”.
- Annual club ride to the Grand Canyon Caverns and Cave Lake for a weekend of camping and socializing. EMO pays for a group camping spot where you can pitch a tent for free, or you can find cabin accommodations nearby at a reasonable cost.
- Annual club hosted picnic, held at a local park.
- Annual Holiday Party.
It’s a great value for $20.00, come out to breakfast and see who we are. EMO may provide you a new circle of friends to share experiences and knowledge with, whether you ride, collect, or just have an interest in European motorcycles; you are welcome to come and enjoy.
